For those of you who have picked up a new Windows Mobile 5.0 device, but have an old SIM card, you may be wondering how to transfer your SIM contacts to your Pocket Outlook / Outlook contacts.

In order to do this, follow these following steps:

Open Programs

Open SIM manager

Click Tools -> Select All

Click Tools -> Save to Contacts

Your SIM contacts will now be duplicated in your Pocket Outlook contacts. From there, sync your Windows Mobile Device with your PC to back up your contacts.

Now in SIM Manager, select all of the contacts and press and hold the selection in order to get the context menu. Select delete, and all of your SIM contacts will now be deleted. This should make navigating your contacts much easier as things like sorting through your contacts are based on your Outlook Contacts, not your SIM contacts.

Hope this helps-
