Hello World

Friday, August 11th, 2006

Hi everyone!

Well I finally have a technical blog. This blog will mostly contain information on the custom developments at Proactive Logic and technology articles on specific topics. I have several articles saved up from the last year that I will post including unmanaged Memory Leak detection for .Net applications, ClickOnce deployment, WSE 3.0, WCF, Vista, security topics, etc. Thankfully, my girlfriend has been very understanding about me spending some of my free time getting this blog up. Thanks hun!

At Proactive Logic we provide consulting services while developing our own products. I really like this mix for several reasons. Providing consulting services puts food on the table for one, but also allows us to work on large scale architecture and design for our clients. It also allows us to interact with other talented engineers in the field. My main passion in Computer Science is designing and seeing systems that scale. When you develop large scale systems and see them in action it is extremely gratifying.

Hopefully, now that I have this blog, I can post on a regular basis as there have been many issues that come up in consulting that I feel will be interesting to others. The Proactive Logic product line should be really interesting to write about as well.

-Jon
