As for me, well how much so you really care about me anyway? If you ended up on this page you are probably wondering who this guy is and if his technical articles are worth their weight in gold. You may be asking yourself, “should I listen to his advice”.
As for my background, I have been working on large scale projects for the last 10 years. So far I estimate that my code has been used by 50 million people in one way or another. This is mostly from the large scale online retail sites that I worked on as an employee. I feel lucky to have had the experience of seeing my code scale and used by millions of users. That feeling really never left me and my desire is to see a lot people use our code through our client’s products and one day our own Proactive Logic product line.
I think this all stems from my past life as a teenager in a rock band. I guess I just need the attention, or some kind of feeling that I have made a positive impact on the world. The internet still fascinates me. Every morning we will wake up and the internet will still be there, pushing more and more data around the world. It has become an integral part of life for millions of users. I can not even imagine being without internet access today. The internet is becoming more and more ubiquitous. No other time in history has there been such an opportunity for the “little guy” to make his voice heard. The superstar programmer and / or the average programmer with a lot of ambition and business sense have a great opportunity today.
That is my inspiration for running a computer company today, and that will certainly be reflected in these posts.
